EMD Electronics is immediately hiring an Operations Lead Technician for our MEGASYS® team in Santa Clara, CA. MEGASYS® is the branded name for EMD Electronics services where EMD Electronics Technicians and Engineers provide on-site gas and chemical/slurry management. Technicians work on systems and maintain supply of chemicals and gases to a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. They will ensure compliance in operation and maintenance procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution. The Lead Technician is responsible for the safe operation of assigned chemical and/or gas distribution systems, with duties including: Coordination of daily work with supervisors, managers, and customer requirementsPrimary point of contact with customer for escalations and special requestsTraining new and existing technicians on chemical and gas proceduresAttend customer meetings to communicate ongoing issues, projects and sustaining activitiesHandling and change-out of gas, chemical, and slurry containersGas and chemical equipment troubleshooting and preventative/repair maintenanceComputer operations to support job functions and customer needsSupport of quality systems to prevent incidentsPrimary communication point to customer Physical Attributes:Walking throughout the facility for 75% of shift (5-6 miles per day)Climbing of ladders up to 12-foot-tall (utilizing fall protection)Basic lifting (up to 40lbs)Bending of the knees and overhead reaching Lead Technicians will be scheduled either Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm or compressed 12 hour shifts of 3 days on, 3 days off / 4 days on, 4 days off. Who You Are:Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED1+ years' experience with chemical distribution and gas distribution equipment and systems used in semiconductor ultra-high purity operations Preferred QualificationsTechnical degree or relevant technical trainingProficient with MS Office SuiteExcellent communication skillsStrong technical aptitudePrior experience working in a mechanical or electronic environment Pay Range for this position - $36,500 - $85,300Our ranges incorporate all levels and career types available within this specific role, and are derived from relevant industry market data.
