The Site Procurement Operations Center (SPOC), reporting into the Global Procurement Organization (GPO), ensures that Amazon maximizes value for non-inventory goods to provide the Fulfillment Centers with the necessary shipping supplies they need to operate smoothly. This includes securing the constant flow of packaging goods and services, supplied at the best overall value to the business on a day to day basis, Blanket Purchase Order management, Key Performance Indicators (KPI) bridging ownership, Accounts Payable invoice hold resolution, site launch support, and escalation management. SPOC currently provides these services for ~1700 sites across 15 countries. The team has two divisions: North America (NA) and Europe (EUK).

As an Operations Manager for the Site Procurement Operations Center (SPOC) team, you will be responsible for developing the strategic vision for providing support of key non-inventory processes to our internal customers across North American business units. This role will require someone who will design standardized business workflows with mechanisms to sustain these across multiple business units and with multiple stakeholders. You will be at the center of the indirect supply chain at Amazon, working across functional lines to bring together non-inventory, operations, transportation, category, marketing, process excellence, and safety teams to ensure the movement of supply through the Amazon network.

You will be responsible for managing a large team of associates and managers and delivering results for our business partners. You will work with partners at sites and with category managers and vendors to drive non-inventory supply readiness to hundreds of Amazon sites.

Key job responsibilities

- Develop and implement strategy to ensure continuity of supply of goods and services within the network

- Manage multiple complex cross-regional and cross-functional projects end-to-end

- Develop, execute, and drive scalable programs and adoption across multiple organizations and teams

- Partner with internal teams to identify problems and real-time solutions, including data analytics and reporting

- Handle complex problems, decisions, and escalations. Work tactically and strategically to mitigate long-term risks

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- A completed Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, or related field

- 5+ years supply chain management experience (e.g. logistics, inventory turn management, forecasting, operations)

- 5+ years of previous managerial experience in a fulfillment center/distribution center environment of hourly and salaried employees

- Supplier Relationship Management (e.g. performance/scorecarding)

- 3+ years of experience with procurement tools, including Oracle, Coupa and Ariba

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Master's degree (MBA, Math, Engineering, Science)

- Lean/Six Sigma Master Black Belt Experience deploying transactional lean, manufacturing lean, variation reduction, and design for six sigma methodologies

- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment when working in stressful situations

- Advanced analytics and advanced Excel skills
