Job Overview:

Responsible for Operations administration and for significant contributions to the formulation, development, implementation, and administration of Company policies and business goals. Organizes, plans, directs, and controls all Operations functions. Supervises and appraises the activities of subordinate managers and ensures services are professionally delivered and customers well served.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Evaluates operational effectiveness through analyses of Department activity, on-site inspections, and other measurable criteria. Provide timely reports to the management. 10%
  • Coordinates Operations functions. 10%
  • Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel, designed to further strategic objectives of the company. 5%
  • Oversees facility functions including maintenance, building improvements, and adherence to legal requirements. 10%
  • Coordinates the development, communication and implementation of effective growth strategies to achieve and surpass sales, profitability, and business goals and objectives. 5%
  • Motivates and leads a high-performance team; attracts, recruits, and retains required members of the team as needed. 10%
  • Ensures supervisors/managers are well trained, effective, and optimally used. Instructs Managers regarding policy, procedure, and program changes. 10%
  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountable environment. Conducts performance appraisals, provides measurable feedback and implements employee corrective actions, improvements plan as
  • needed. 10%
  • Assumes responsibility for ensuring professional business relationships are established and maintained with customers, vendors, the business community, trade organizations and other stakeholders. 10%
  • Ensures Operations functions are well coordinated with related departments. Monitors service delivery and ensures excellence in service levels 5%
  • Perform duties in accordance with Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) policies and procedures, as appropriate for location 10%
  • Ensures compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, as well as all company policies. 5%
  • Performs other relevant job duties as required

Job Requirements:

Education/ Certifications/or Equivalent combination of education training and experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • HACCP & SQF certification preferred

Required knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Profit and Loss statements, accounting, human resources, purchasing, facilities, security, and quality control procedures and programs.
  • Understanding of related legal and regulatory requirements like OSHA, HAACP and Sanitation standards.
  • Knowledge of budgeting, supply contracts, and shipping requirements
  • Knowledge of corporate compliance, ethics policies and code of conduct
  • Understanding of Inventory Control and Management procedures

Experience:
  • At least five years of supervisory experience required.
