Operations Strategy Team

The operations strategy team is responsible for the strategy and execution of planning for Bell's future factories in support of military and commercial platforms. Our team works to grow Bell's base by insourcing components critical to keeping Bell's manufacturing strong. We collaborate with manufacturing innovation for equipment and process technologies to optimize our current and future factories. The team also works to develop Bell's overall 10-year operations strategy and plan for actionable steps to achieve future goals.

What you'll be doing as a Project Manager

  • Manage and drive decision making across cross functional teams and senior leadership.
  • Take part in the organization, planning, and management of strategy factory roadmap within an Integrated Operations team to meet Bell's defined priorities.
  • Assist in the analysis and execution of insourcing projects, including coordination with Centers of Excellence (COEs) and other project team members to determine favorable outcomes for each strategic transition. Establishment of the transition plan with internal customer buy-in; execution of the activities to successful transfer the statement of work within budget and on-schedule.
  • Assist in the development next generation facility and layout feasibility studies for various facility and volume scenarios. May be utilize 3DExperience DELMIA for simulation of throughput, analysis of optimal part flow, implementation of process improvement activities, application of cost reduction initiatives, and facility sizing.
  • Represent the IO organization to help develop digital enterprise strategy and implementation.
  • Development of project plan and resource management to ensure project schedule, budget, quality, and specification goals are attained. Monitor project schedule, timeline, and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet delivery goals.

Is adept at constructing presentations for the team to communicate process, concepts, data, scenarios, and other critical information to facilitate teamwork and decision making.
  • Ability to work independently multi-tasking in a deadline-driven environment. Focused on ensuring that all data and activities are managed at an appropriate level of detail to ensure an accurate demand and supply plan.


What you need to be successful

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or other technical discipline .
  • Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment; aerospace and defense industry preferably.
  • At least 5 years' experience in managing projects.
