Overview
The Operations Supervisor directs, manages, supervises, and coordinates event setup activities and operations for the facility and provides responsible staff assistance to the Director of Event Operations.
This role will pay a salary of $17.79 to $18.75.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, direct, coordinate and review the work plans for facility operations
- Work with employees to correct deficiencies; implement discipline procedures
- Ability to follow written instruction, interpret CAD's and blueprints
- Interface with vendors and production crews as required
- Responsible for organization and presentation of all Operations storage areas.
- Communicates between shifts the necessary tasks that still need to be completed
- Working knowledge of operations equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, staging, pipe and drape, all tables, all chairs, etc.
- Coordinates between changeover crew and housekeeping needs with Building Services staff
- Assist in completing light janitorial work (vacuuming, sweeping, and taking out trash and recycling)
- Maintains departmental equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma (or equivalent)
- Minimum of (2) years' experience in an operations position in an Arena, Convention Center or Public Assembly Facility including set-up/housekeeping, event coordination or related field; a degree in Facility Management or related field may allow for substitution for years of experience
- Must have a demonstrated ability to function in a fast paced, high-pressure environment and possess superior interpersonal and communication skills
- Must have the ability to work long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be self-motivated and have excellent organizational skills
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish is a plus
