OPS/Student Assistant Biological Scientist

Job Description:

Assist with immunostaining of slides and tissue slices.
Assist with cell culture experiments.
Conduct microscopy and slide scanning.
Preform image analysis.
General lab duties such as cleaning, preparing stock solutions, autoclaving, purchasing, stocking.

Training will be provided on all tasks.

Expected Salary:

12.00 - 16.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Associate's degree in an appropriate area of specialization or a high school diploma and two years of related experience.

Appropriate college course work or vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Current students of the University of Florida will also be considered. Students need to attach a copy of their class schedule to the application. If applicant was approved for Federal Work Study, they must attach proof of FWS approval (Financial Aid Award Page).

Previous life sciences lab experience not required but preferred.
