Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience with one or more optical technologies (e.g., client transceivers, optical metro and DWDM systems, or submarine systems).
  • Experience with network designs.


Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with network equipment manufacturer or network operator in engineering or design role.
  • Experience with submarine cable system design, manufacturing and operation.
  • Experience with open cables design, commissioning and acceptance, operations and management.
  • Experience with optical networking devices, optical fibers, optical modules and subsystems.
  • Experience with submarine line terminating equipment (SLTE) operation and management.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $168,000-$252,000 bonus equity benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Define requirements and identify technologies for scaling networks.
  • Engage with the build and operations team to verify the commissioning and acceptance of new open cable systems.
  • Engage with external vendors and internal teams to operationalize stable and scalable platforms.
  • Work with network design, deployment, and operations teams to deliver reliable platforms and optical designs.
  • Design and develop test plans for optical systems.
