We are seeking an OR Technician LD for our team to ensure that we continue to provide all patients with high quality, efficient care. Did you get into our industry for these reasons? Job Summary and Qualifications

*1. Demonstrates knowledge and skill to perform all patient record and transcription activities. Uses computer software proficiently.

2. Functions in an organized and time conscious manner.

*3. Maintains confidentiality of patient, employee and departmental information.

*4. Assists nursing staff in preparing for patient care by setting up rooms for admission, deliveries and special procedures.

*5. Cleans patient rooms and restocks on transfer/delivery/discharge.

*6. Organizes and stocks supplies on the unit to maintain adequate levels. Checks equipment to maintain adequate functioning.

*7. Maintains adequate operating room supplies. Checks equipment to ensure proper functioning. Checks supplies and instruments to ensure sterility.

*8. Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.

9. Demonstrates professional behavior.

*10. Receives, cleans, processes, assembles and distributes medical supplies, equipment and surgical instrumentation.

*11. Sterilizes all reusable equipment, supplies and instrumentation, and maintains and operates OB unit sterile equipment.

What qualifications you will need:

EDUCATION

Required - High School diploma or GED, with strong background in English and spelling.

Preferred - Successful completion of an approved program for Nursing Assistants, hospital-based training and/or enrollment in an accredited nursing program.

EXPERIENCE

Required - Recent computer experience, including data entry and retrieval. Strong knowledge of medical terminology.

Preferred - Previous experience working in a hospital in a similar position.

Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider

Required: Virginia License as a Certified Surgical Technologist
