OR Work Attendant (OR Assistant) - Operating Room

Join our team as an OR Work Attendant (OR Assistant), where your primary responsibility is to ensure the safe and prompt transfer and positioning of patients within our perioperative areas. You will also handle the transport and setup of supplies and equipment, as well as the safe transport of specimens and items within the Lennar Foundation Cancer Center. This role involves patient transport within perioperative spaces, the cancer center, and discharge areas. Additionally, you will provide support for various departmental functions as necessary to guarantee the safety, effectiveness, efficiency, and prompt delivery of patient care. As a successful candidate, you will:

• Assist personnel in moving patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs, etc. and positioning patients under the direction of nurses or physicians.
• Maintain inventory supplies levels on patient/nursing units. Plays an active role in supply inventory, restocking and gathering supplies and equipment.
• Transport full, empty, and used medical gas cylinders, making sure the appropriate tank is placed in the appropriate place.
• Other duties include but limited to: Running specimens, checking temperature logs on blankets, assist with cleaning of equipment, helping with room turn over
• Have hospital and perioperative experiences (highly preferred)

Your qualifications should include:

• High School or equivalent; Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements
• One year in a similar position or aide position with similar experience and background in a perioperative setting.
• CPR Training/Certificate or obtained within two weeks of hire
• Current Driver's License
