Job Summary The Orthodontist functions as a staff physician with Otolaryngology-Dental and Surgical responsibilities. The Orthodontist performs assessments, diagnoses, and evaluates patients for maxillofacial prostheses. The Orthodontist participates in cleft panels, tumor board, and weekly Grand Rounds. The Orthodontist provides lectures to residents and medical students regarding maxillofacial prostheses.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Current Dental Board of California License in Dentistry and Orthodontics
  • Current Board-Certified Orthodontist with the American Board of Orthodontics (ABO)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated (2) two years of prior Orthodontic Practice experience


Department Description

The UC Davis Health Dental Clinic provides clinic-based general dental services, dental care for hospital in-patients, and dental care under general anesthesia for the patient population unable to tolerate dental care under local anesthesia in the dental clinic.
