A deep understanding of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards and protocols is essential, along with a proven track record of designing and managing comprehensive IT/OT infrastructure and security solutions within critical sectors.

Responsibilities:
Solution Design:

  • Formulate and implement a robust and scalable cybersecurity strategy encompassing all OT network security aspects, including threat detection, incident response, recovery, and ongoing compliance monitoring.
  • Specify requirements for network segmentation and establish processes for asset inventory and classification based on criticality, enhancing security posture and risk management.
  • Collaborate with business leadership and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather insights into operational processes, workflows, and security challenges, ensuring architecture designs effectively address unique needs and risks.
  • Design secure IT/OT network solutions tailored to client-specific needs while adhering to industry best practices and IEC 62443 standards. Gather network configurations and analyze baselines to support the development of architectures and designs.

Network Security Implementation:
  • Take a hands-on role in implementing IT and OT network infrastructure, including configuring firewalls, switches, routers, and other network components to ensure security and reliability. Build and implement approved architecture and design packages. Configure client equipment to onboard into the Cavalry Managed Services Program.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure the successful deployment of technical solutions and procedural changes, guiding best practices.
  • Security Testing: Conduct security testing and vulnerability scanning on IT and OT networks and systems to identify potential weaknesses and vulnerabilities.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication: Communicate technical and risk-related concepts in clear, actionable terms to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation including low-level designs, network diagrams, configurations, and security policies. Track all tasks and effort spent within the project management system.
  • Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards, such as NERC CIP, FDA, DoE, TSA, NIST, ISO, and IEC 62443.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with industry trends, emerging threats, and evolving technologies. Drive continuous improvement in IT and OT network and security solutions.

Knowledge and Experience:
  • 5 years of recent experience in IT/OT Network & Security Project
  • Proficient in the first 4 layers of the OSI model.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in applying IEC 62443 standards and the Purdue model to secure Industrial Control Systems (ICS).
  • Proven expertise in conducting risk assessments, including business continuity planning, cybersecurity, and compliance risks.
  • Deep understanding of IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards and protocols, with experience in IT/OT infrastructure and security solutions.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences and tune messages appropriately.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in multitasking: Effectively handle various responsibilities, prioritize tasks, and maintain awareness of upcoming work.
