Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding two Outpatient Psychiatrists to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Gotham-Broadway. The Center of Excellence is/are part of the Gotham Health Clinics (NYC H+H). The goal of this community-based practice is to provide outpatient services to patients at high risk of contracting Covid-19, as well as short- and long-term follow-up care for those recovering from the disease. Preliminary evidence links Covid-19 to potential heart damage, lung injuries, blood clots, and mental health conditions.

Opportunity Details

Gotham/Broadway is a startup practice, the newest addition of all the Gotham sites- The behavioral health team comprised of 2 ethusiastic psychologists, established the beginnings of the beahvioral health practice. This is a ground floor opportunity for a Psychiatrist and self starter to create a culture that will impact the site for years to come!

The attending will be the supervising clinician for two psychologists (1 Adult/Geri and 1 Child).

• Evaluation, treatment and provision of direct care to patients in the clinical setting
• Provide clinical guidance to other members of the healthcare team as needed
• Participate in performance improvement and quality management projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
• Active, unrestricted NYS License
• Active DEA Waiver
• Active X-Waiver preferred
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work well in a multidisciplinary team setting
• Familiarity with high-risk patients and cultural sensitivity in community settings
