Responsibilities
  • Performs patient registration, collecting and entering accurate demographic and medical information, and assists with scheduling when needed.• Assists patients and families with financial assistance and other resources. Collects billing and insurance information and ensures accurate coding. • Drives the Mobile Care Center to designated events and sites as needed. Assists with maintaining vehicle, equipment, and inventory.• Assists with general health screenings, vital signs, patient assessments and treatments, and other clinical duties as trained.• Maintains compliance with established policies and procedures and with governing regulations and standards.• Participates in performance and quality improvement activities and data collection.
Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Diploma or equivalent, required. Licensure: • Valid Ohio driver's license and proof of auto insurance as required by hospital policy. Must pass motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications, and training set forth by Nationwide Children's Hospital and maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.• Valid Ohio Commercial Driver License (CDL), class B, with air brake endorsement within 90 days of hire.Certifications:• Valid medical certificate updated every two years, required.• Current BLS Healthcare provider or Heart Saver certification, required.Skills :• Computer familiarity and literacy with general data entry.• Effective use and understanding of verbal and written communication skills.• Excellent customer service skills.• Must be able to work as part of a team with minimal direct supervision.• Must be culturally sensitive to all ethnic groups of all economic status. Experience: One year of patient care experience, required. MINIMUM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to see, hear, stand, walk, speak, read and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation, and care for oneself with little or no difficulty.
