Shift Hours:
Full Time 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week). Shifts will be overnights with an every third weekend rotation
Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible and accountable for providing quality professional nursing care to patients and their families and significant others adhering to the WI Nurse Practice Act, Administrative Code of the WI Board of Nursing, and/or appropriate nursing standards governing nursing in the state of practice, the ANA Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and Bellin Health Policies and Procedures. The responsibility includes providing a safe environment for patients, families, staff, and visitors and working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary health care team to provide the best outcomes for the patient. Community involvement and collaboration is encouraged.

Essential Duties of the Team Facilitator:

• Provides coaching and counseling to team members
• Uses Information Systems to their full capability
• Promotes efficient cost-effective services/care
• Resources staff and other departments in decision making and policy and procedure development

Qualifications:
Certification/Registration/Licensure: RN license in the state of practice required (RN must practice under the law and regulations governing nursing in the state of practice). Certification encouraged in job specialty if not already required as listed below.

PRIMARY STROKE CENTER (PSC) CERTIFICATION: Core Stroke Team members and nursing staff assigned to the PSC (Cardiac Unit, Clinical Decision Unit, Emergency Department, Inpatient Rehab, Intensive Care Unit, Medical Unit, Nursing Services, Ortho/Neuro and Surgical Unit) shall require no less than eight hours of education and training regarding the care of acute stroke patients on an annual basis. (This is not an individual certification but an educational requirement for Bellin to maintain their Primary Stroke Center Certification (PSC)). Nursing staff not directly assigned to the PSC shall receive education on "Code Stroke" policies, as well as basic emergency care of acute stroke patients annually.
