Chipton-Ross is seeking a Packaging Group Leader for a contract opportunity in Cincinnati, OH.

SUMMARY:
The Packaging Group Leader is responsible for leading a team to be able to operate, troubleshoot, assist with packaging equipment setup and startup activities, and ensure that the safety, quality, and productivity of the packaging line meets the required company standards. You will also lead the team by ensuring the packaging line is performing at an acceptable production rate, completing GMP documentation per ALCOA+ standards, performing and documenting in-process testing, investigating breakdowns and supporting repairs related to packaging production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Responsible for daily operations on the packaging line where they are assigned and responsible for successful execution of Line Packaging Records and associated documentation
o Willing to train and develop new associates working on the packaging lines
o Operate, recognize, and remedy quality problems, and perform changeovers and cleanups as required
o Perform packaging line operation, including operating/monitoring equipment, inspection, hand cartoning or packing, labeling, palletizing, cleanup, hopper filling, and other duties as required
o Assist in Line Clearances between batches, follow cleanup sheet directions, follow verbal orders or requests from group leader/supervisor, and perform other duties as required
o Adjust functional parts of equipment and control instrumentation. Install or replace worn or faulty components for equipment performance restoration or improvement. Test equipment performance and record all data
o Participate in PPI (Practical Process Improvements), Lean and Continuous Improvement activities including 5S activities
o Work with Supervisor, Unit Coordinator, & Mechanics to ensure that quality, waste, and efficiency are meeting requirements
o Complete improvement activities on quality and work process efficiency
o Follow quality standards in accordance with company policy

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
o Previous experience as a group leader or lead operator in packaging or manufacturing is helpful Proven leadership experience or training is required
o Applicants with the experience/exposure of working in a cleanroom environment are highly sought after
o Troubleshooting, assembly, and testing skills required
o Experienced working in a related manufacturing line
o Pharmaceutical Packaging or Pharmaceutical Manufacturing experience is desired
o Knowledge of packaging equipment set up and adjustments, packaging formats and packaging documentation is preferred
o Working knowledge of applicable SOPs, GMPs, LPRs and quality test methods is preferred
o Ability to complete GMP documentation neatly, correctly, and legibly. Basic math skills are required
o Ability to lift 35 lbs. for short periods
o Social skills and the ability to work with and empower a diverse group of associates are also required
o Basic knowledge and experience using manufacturing equipment & mechanical proficiency
o Able to communicate well with others, have a collaboration focus, possess leadership skills and be willing to work overtime hours as required
o Ability to read work instructions, and procedure manuals/diagrams
o Ability to work well with minimal direction
o Experience in pharmaceutical production and packaging preferred

EDUCATION:
Accredited High School Diploma/GED

Full-Time Thurs to Sat 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM
