Painter

Description

We are seeking a Painter who can:

• Apply coats of paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings, other structures, and/or equipment.
• Read work order or receives instructions from supervisor or homeowner regarding painting.
• Smooth surfaces, using sandpaper, brushes, or steel wool, and removes old paint from surfaces, using paint remover, scraper, wire brush, or blowtorch to prepare surfaces for painting.
• Has experience in prepping surfaces [sheetrock, metal, wood, etc.] and finish coating with caulking, spackling, etc.
• Has experience in power hand tools and equipment used by painters.

Qualifications

Physical requirements:



Exposed to high levels of noise, dust, vibration and chemical fumes.



Able to lift fifty (50) pounds without mechanical assistance.



Able to bend, twist, squat and lift.



Able to climb on ladders and platforms and work at heights up to fifty feet from the ground.



Able to work in extreme climatic conditions.



Able to use boom lift / scissors lift [ 80 feet max]
