Substitute Early Childhood Education Paraprofessional

Hours Per Day: Flexible Schedule - varied hours based on assignment

Salary Range: New hires will be set at $20.50 per hour

School Year: 2023-24

Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Early Childhood Education Substitute Paraprofessional plays a key role in assisting the full time teacher with delivery of instruction, care, discipline, and the preparation of instructional materials for three, four and/or five year-old pre-kindergarten students as directed by the ECE classroom teacher. The Early Childhood Education Paraprofessional performs classroom duties which may include but not limited to providing support for a positive learning environment, helping meet the educational, behavioral and physical needs of students, and keeping the classroom clean, safe and well organized.

Work experience with three, four and/or five-year-old children preferred.

Have the ability with or without accommodations to meet the physical demands of the position.

Sub Paras may support a classroom in a daily capacity or over the course of several days. Some duties may include working one-on-one with specific students or within a school's center program, providing support in a classroom while teachers are providing in-person or virtual instruction, and/or provide support wherever the teacher or school leader needs it.

Daily assignments are not always available or known in advance. Availability and flexibility to be on call with your assigned school as well as ability to communicate effectively regarding your schedule are required. More information can be provided during the interview process.
