Duties Description Under the general supervision of higher-level personnel, the incumbent will perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and repair activities at Trailside Museums and Zoo, a facility within Bear Mountain State Park. Duties include maintenance of grounds, including operation of basic maintenance tools (line trimmers, mowers, etc.); daily cleaning of exhibit buildings and visitor facilities; painting, upkeep, and repair of exhibits. The candidate will assist with facility operations, including helping with the daily opening of Trailside buildings and crowd control during the end of day closing procedures.

Additional Comments Basic maintenance experience and familiarity with the operation of maintenance tools preferred. Must be able to lift and move 80 lbs. The successful candidate must have a strong work ethic, ability to work well with others, flexibility to work on different assignments, and courtesy skills. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license that allows the candidate to legally operate a motor vehicle in New York State as a term and condition of employment.
