This position assures that Allina Health's patients are given the opportunity to apply for assistance in the reduction and/or elimination of their patient balances, by facilitating the daily operation of the Allina Partners Care program.

If you reside in Minneapolis, MN, you will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Processing of Allina Partners Care applications
    • Review financial assistance applications using established guidelines to determine eligibility for the Allina Partners Care and Senior Partners Care programs
    • Update and adjust patient accounts
    • Respond to patients regarding eligibility determination and request for further documentation
  • Communicating with patients and Allina Health staff
    • Responsible for answering incoming calls regarding the Allina Partners Care program
    • Responsible for professionally communicating with patients and other Allina Health staff regarding the status of applications while maintaining sensitivity around the subject of financial assistance
  • Scanning Allina Partners Care applications
    • Scan applications to patient's medical record
  • Maintaining patient accounts
    • Responsible for working Partners Care work queues and reports to adjust patient balances
  • Staff education
    • Acts as a resource to other Allina Health employees seeking information about the Allina Partners Care program
    • May be expected to present in a formal training setting with other RCM staff, or out at the sites
  • Retrieval of archived Allina Partners Care applications and paperwork
    • Responsible for pulling and organizing archived Allina Partners Care applications for annual internal and external audits

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher)
  • 3+ years of general office experience
  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Windows based applications, with preference to Word and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • EPIC experience
  • Medical office experience

  • Work independently and in a team setting
  • Promote a respectful workplace by demonstrating a positive attitude
