Overview:
The Quinnipiac University Poll, recognized throughout the country as a gold standard source of public opinion information on elections, political figures, and issues in the news, is seeking a Part-Time Supervisor to join our exciting team. This position will support the Quinnipiac Poll's call center operations and is responsible for coaching the interviewer team to excellence.

This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position, not to exceed 19 hours per week.

Hybrid positions, which include remote, work from home, and on-site shifts in our state-of-the-art call center facility in Hamden, CT are now available.
Responsibilities:
  • Coach and mentor in-house and remote interviewers to meet quality and quantity standards of the Quinnipiac University Poll
  • Manage call center workflow to ensure surveys are being conducted in a timely manner
  • Monitor calls for in-house and remote interviewer teams and provide feedback regarding proper interviewing techniques
  • Assist with developing new interviewers by providing post training guidance and constructive feedback
  • Manage varied personality types to individual excellence
  • Oversee attendance for shift interviewers
  • Measure interviewer performance using automated reports and processes
  • Positively encourage interviewer team members to meet survey goals
  • Assist in resolving employee issues
  • Work with senior supervisor on duty to manage the electronic processes that contribute to the seamless operation of the Quinnipiac Call Center
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Qualifications:
  • Candidates should bring leadership skills, a high energy level, and a positive approach to this supervisory role which focuses on teambuilding.
  • Coaching the interviewing staff to high performance is a key aspect of this position, therefore, strong communication skills are required.
  • Supervisors must possess the confidence and competence to assist in mentoring and guiding interviewers to their best performance.
  • Solid computer skills are a must.
  • Supervisors must possess working knowledge of computer software applications (i.e MS Office, Zoom).
  • The position requires strong attention to detail, good articulation skills, and the ability to support the interviewing staff to meet the day-to-day objectives of the Quinnipiac University Poll.
  • Candidates should have at least 3 years' experience in a call center environment.
  • Must be timely, flexible, and dependable.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
