Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:

The PT Coordinator III will be responsible for m aintain ing the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) website and intranet site, provid ing technical support, facilitat ing staff professional development sessions, and track ing the check-out of instructional materials from the TLC.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain the Teaching and Learning Center website by using OpenText website management editor to ensure that all information posted is up to date
  • Manage the Teaching and Learning Center intranet sites by us ing SharePoint to update the TLC intranet site with announcements, add session documents, post session announcements, update the Calendar of events, and include additional content
  • Facilitate the Staff/Faculty iPad programs by o ffer ing professional development opportunities for staff to learn more about using iPads and support for newest iOS changes. Ma intain all the check out and inventory data for the iPad programs
  • C reate the Week at a Glance document each week to advertise all the upcoming professional development opportunities
  • Provide technical training and support on how to use the LS C intranet and how to use SharePoint. W ork with people seeking help on an individual basis and offer sessions on how to use SharePoint
  • Provide technical support to faculty, staff and students seeking assistance
  • Assist supervisors and managers in the coordination of departmental events and projects related to professional development. Coordinate, develop, and present professional development programs and opportunities to staff
  • Track and report all instructional material check-out data
  • Create the TLC Weekly Flyer to be posted around campus
  • Create faculty suite signs. U pdate the signs in front of every faculty suite with picture , name , title , and office number of each faculty member at the beginning of each semester
  • Create the new faculty newsletter that is sent out to all LSC faculty
  • Design and deliver professional development sessions for staff, both face-to-face and online. Present and assist in the facilitation and implementation of LSC 20|20 Cultural Beliefs
  • Plan and design a variety of print and non-print materials and layouts for advertisements for professional development and instruction
  • Support the implementation of department events , including helping set up event spaces
  • Oversee the inventory of the TLC Kindles and iPads
  • Responsible for other reasonable, related duties as assigned


  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Uses technical proficiency in major instructional hardware and software, typically developed through job-related training and on-the-job experience
    • Demonstrated computer literacy with common office software, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, etc.
    • Ability to learn new systems and train others on them
    • Effective communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to work under minimal supervision

    PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

    The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking ; standing; bending; carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.

    WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDITIONS:
    • Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general office equipment
    • Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to carry out the functions of the position
    • Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal exposure to safety hazards

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Associate's degree and at least 1 year of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

    Salary

    Hourly Pay Rate is $20.36
