During the autumn, winter, and spring quarters of the 2023-24 academic year, the Humanities Collegiate Division and the Department of Romance Languages & Literatures will have part-time teaching opportunities for various courses of the French and Francophone literature and culture curriculum.

Minimum qualifications are a master’s degree or equivalent in French or a related field, superior proficiency in French according to ACTFL guidelines, and at least one year of experience teaching French language and/or literature at the college or post-secondary level. Preference will be given to applicants currently completing a Ph.D., or who have completed a Ph.D. in French or a related field.

Responsibilities will include preparing and teaching seminar-style undergraduate literature courses on any period or genre of literature in French, holding regularly scheduled office hours, and the preparing and grading of assignments and assessments.

Depending on the curricular needs of the department, the successful candidate may teach between one and four courses per academic year. In 2023-24, the minimum per-course salary is $7,538. This position is not benefits eligible.
