Description:
Scuola Vita Nuova Charter School is seeking a highly effective, enthusiastic, hard-working Part-Time Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Develop individualized instruction aligned with the Missouri Learning Standards & IEP goals
• Create Individualized Education Programs for students with disabilities
• Maintain Special Education compliance
• Use data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices
• Collaborate with teammates to promote an environment of critical thinking and academic rigor
• Choose and implement appropriate methodology and varied instructional strategies that address the diversity of learners
• Effectively manage student behaviors while maintaining a positive learning environment
• Embrace feedback and constructive criticism to foster constant improvement
• Demonstrate professionalism, confidence, and a strong work ethic inside and outside the classroom

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ideal candidates will be deeply committed to helping SVN reach its vision of being a collaborative community of learners that is recognized statewide as one of the top ten charter schools in academic performance.

• Bachelor's degree required
• Must hold a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate in Special Education (or ability to obtain certification prior to 24-25 school year)
• 3+ years of experience teaching in an urban setting, with a record of exemplary results

Hourly pay will be commesurate with experince.
