Job Summary
The OIA Strategy Assistant will support OIA's pursuit of its strategic priorities and the comprehensive internationalization of the IU Indianapolis campus, including advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), grants and research, expansion of international student enrollment, and other international initiatives. The Research Assistant will play a particularly important role in helping OIA, executive leadership perform research, analyze data, prepare reports, and advance strategic planning.

Job Summary

Department-Specific Responsibilities
- Collects and analyzes data.
- Prepares reports or presentations.
- Communicates with faculty, staff, and students over email, telephone, and videoconference software.
- Manages and responds to project related emails.
- Designs, distributes, and correlates data from surveys.
- Attends project meetings.
- May lead small group discussions, plans and facilitates meetings and other educational activities.
- Prepares materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations as directed.
- Other duties associated with internationalization and research as assigned
EDUCATION
Required
- Bachelor's degree
Preferred
- 1 year of research experience
Required
- Proficient computer skills, including familiarity with the Microsoft Office suite
- Design skills to create graphics for presentations and sessions
- Creative mindset with a passion for research and international collaboration
- Confidence and ability to initiate and maintain connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Data/statistical analysis experience
- Ability to learn and work in multiple software systems
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to self-motivate and complete projects while working remotely
- Proficient communication and organizational skills
- Data analysis and presentation of findings
- Seeks to acquire knowledge in area of specialty
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Ability to use PC, multitask and concentrate on extremely detailed information
- Qualtrics or Google Forms
- Ability to be well-organized, outgoing, and confident communicating with faculty and staff over email, telephone, and videoconference software
- Intermediate knowledge of using spreadsheet software, such as Excel, and be eager to learn new software
