For years the Bepko Internship Program has been upholding Chancellor Bepko's commitment to diversity within IT. The program targets applications from Indiana University student populations that are traditionally under-represented in information technology professions and places them in high quality internships where they are mentored by top professionals and gain first-hand experience in their field. Interns are compensated competitively and have the ability to work flexible hours to accommodate class schedules.

REN-ISAC (Research and Education Networks Information Sharing Analysis Center) is a team of highly skilled cyber security professionals for the higher education sector. Our team provides Cyber security threat intelligence and CSIRT services for the higher education institutions in the US, Canada, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Moreover our team strives to be ahead of the game and provide top notch cyber security services for its members.

Job Summary
  • Assists with REN-ISAC SOC operations.
  • Troubleshoots SOC request issues.
  • Documents SOC processes.
  • Assists in automating workflows.
Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required
  • Currently enrolled as a student with an interest in business technology adaptation and marketing or informatics
Preferred
  • Currently enrolled in Informatics or management of information systems major or minor
WORK EXPERIENCE

Required
  • Experience with technology adaptation and usability improvements
Preferred
  • Python experience
  • Experience with support triage
SKILLS

Required
  • Strong written and verbal communication and listening skills
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism
  • Strong working knowledge of, or willingness to learn in depth technology adaptation
  • Effective interpersonal skills
Working Conditions / Demands

This role requires the ability to effectively communicate and to operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
