A healthcare employer in Houston, TX is seeking a Patient Account Representative II to join their Pre-Service team, this position will be onsite in the Memorial City area. In this role you will be responsible for verifying insurance eligibility and benefits and ensuring all notifications and authorizations are completed within the required timeframes. The ideal candidate will have the ability to follow detailed work processes including but not limited to obtaining demographic information, following scripting, utilizing the appropriate reference tools, and obtaining insurance and financial information from patient or guarantor. Possess extensive knowledge of handling complex payor rules and requirements, coordination of benefits, reimbursement methodology including reference based pricing plans, continuity of care, worker's compensation, policy exclusions, specialized services, and obtaining letter of agreements. The ability to multi-task and navigate through multiple applications simultaneously is very important in this role.

3+ years of Medical/Health Insurance Verification experience
Experience working for a hospital or medical office
Ability to navigate between multiple different systems
Critical thinking skills and ability to multitask
Ability to problem solve and deescalate situations with patients
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
