Job Description:

The Patient Account Representative will be responsible for handling patient billing inquiries, processing payments, and ensuring the accuracy of account information. The role involves providing customer service, making outbound collection calls, and supporting compliance with billing regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to patient inquiries via phone, live chat, and email regarding billing concerns.
• Process credit card payments and assist with financial arrangements for patient balances.
• Manage account collections by making outbound calls and monitoring billing queues.
• Assist with insurance claims, transferring payments, and providing itemized statements.
• Ensure compliance with billing regulations, addressing any coding or billing discrepancies.
• Use CPT and ICD codes regularly, providing examples in interviews.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in medical billing, patient accounts, or collections.
• Knowledge of EOBs, CPT, and ICD codes is essential.
• Experience in a medical office or call center is preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
