Patient Care Specialist (Full Time) - OHICU - 6155

Job Description

St. Mary's Medical center is seeing a Patient Care Specialist to assists in providing patient care activities for which employee has been prepared and in conformance with Medical Center policy and procedures, functions under the supervision and guidance of a Registered Nurse.

Requirements

Education: High School Diploma/ GED required

In Addition, must meet one of the following criteria:

1. Successful completion of a multi-skilled technician program which includes EKG, Phlebotomy, and direct patient care. Certification must be valid and current.

2. EKG and Plebotomy training with patient experience in physician office/ clinical setting.

Experience: EKG and Phlebotomy training with patient experience in clinical settings preferred.

Certification/Skills: Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff, manual dexterity required to use hands easily and skillfully while aiding patinets. BLS required.
