Department Overview

Our Mpls and St. Paul float team is an integral part of nursing services provided within our neonatal, medsurg and critical care communities. Team members are able to apply specific skills sets to these departments and provide additional resources as needs are identified. The team is a valuable resource for the entire hospital system. Our nursing care team consists of registered nurses, clinical support associates and unit operations coordinators.

Position Summary

The Patient Care Supervisor (PCS) is considered a front-line department/unit leader. The PCS will directly lead clinical support staff and assist in the leadership of RN staff.

Qualifications:

License/Certification/Registration:

*Active RN on Minnesota Board of Nursing required

*Current BLS required

Education:

*Bachelor's degree in nursing required

Experience:

*3 years of direct patient care experience within a related specialty.

*Informal leadership experience is preferred (charge RN, clinical educator, preceptor, etc.).

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

*Desired characteristics: dependable, responsible, strong conflict resolution skills, knowledge of assigned unit, ability to multi-task, self-starter with ability to problem solve independently.

*Availability for on-call and off-hours rotations/situations as decided by department/unit.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs.
