Patient Care Tech

OrthoArizona Surgery Center at Gilbert is seeking a full time Patient Care Tech to join the team!

Job Summary:

Assist the operating room team with room turnovers, stocking supplies, pulling outdates, documenting room temperatures and humidity and assisting in the surgery team where needed.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides caring and compassionate direct care in a clinic setting under the direction of a physician.
• Assists medical providers-and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedure. Great communicator able to deal tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff, and physicians.
• Assists in the assessment of patient needs. Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and medical procedures.
• Perform other duties, which may be assigned by the Nurse Manager, Department coordinators or other members of management.
• Remains calm and functions as a team member during times of stress and crisis situations. Seeks involvement in activities that promote professional growth and behavior. Actively participates in appropriate committee and CQI activities.

Required Skills:

Education: Graduate of an accredited CMA program preferred. Medical office experience, front and back office. Knowledgeable Prescription Medications and medical back office procedures.

Experience: Minimum one year experience required intraoperative setting

Other: BLS required.
