Department: Surgical Intermediate Care (IMC) unit
Schedule: Full Time Night shift - 7pm - 7:30am; Three 12 hr shifts with every 3rd weekend and rotating Holiday's for coverage
Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent
Location: Indianapolis, IN
This is a High acuity ICU step down unit, with a 1:3 or 1:4 nurse to patient ratio. Patient population includes- Post Open Heart/ Heart Transplant/ LVAD, Leg Bypass, Rib resections, Pneumonectomy etc. Preference for experience with telemetry and surgical patient population.

- Aid with movement and placement of patients.
- Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
- Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
- Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education:
- High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
