Responsible for the safe, timely, courteous, and competent transportation of patients and specimens throughout the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, primarily via wheelchair or stretcher. Receives assignments for specific trips and associated tasks from Supervisor and/or EPIC/Rover Applications. Retrieves transport equipment throughout the campus area, as directed.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of one year experience in customer service setting.
  • Required to have American Red Cross or American Heart Association CPR Certification.
  • Work requires walking and standing for greater than 90% of the time. Work requires assisting clinical staff with facilitating patient movement to and from transport equipment, lifting and/or carrying of up to fifty pounds of equipment or patient-related items; pushing and/or pulling non-motorized and motorized equipment (e.g., stretchers, wheelchairs) weighing over 50 pounds; stooping and bending; moving or pushing of up to 250 pounds alone, or up to 450 pounds with the help of others, primarily in the transport of patients.
