As our Patient Experience Coach at Dignity Health YRMC, you will enhance the patient experience by providing leadership, guidance, and support to our teams. You will foster a culture of excellence that prioritizes patient satisfaction, safety, and human kindness.

Every day you will work collaboratively with facility leadership and staff to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to enhance the patient experience. You will conduct on-site observations to assess staff behaviors and provide targeted feedback and coaching.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong leadership and interpersonal skills. You should also be knowledgeable in patient experience, quality improvement, and human factors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop lessons learned and assist the department leadership in sharing the information by tracking data and compliance for implementation hospital wide to drastically improve the patient experience.
  • Collaborates with and actively coaches staff to develop and implement strategies to improve the patient experience.
  • Reviews and evaluates evidenced based resources, industry standards, and innovative strategies in the patient and family experience discipline.
  • Creates opportunities for dialog among the care team, particularly when a teachable moment is presented.
  • Collaborates with and actively coaches staff to develop and implement strategies to improve the patient experience.


Qualifications

Minimum:
  • Clinical background with two years' experience as a Nursing Assistant providing direct patient care and interacting with all levels of staff.
    American HeartAssociation Basic Life Support forHealthcare Provider certificate and
    One of the following:
    a) current AZ CNA certification; or
    b) current AZ LNA; or
    c) documentation of successful completion of a Nursing Assistant training program; or
    d) documentation of successful completion of first year curriculum in an accredited RN nursing program; or
    e) six months of NA experience; or
    f) current EMT certification with six months of patient care experience.


Preferred:
  • Clinical background with three-five years' experience as a Nursing Assistant providing direct patient care and interacting with all levels of staff.
