About Our Client: Our client is a healthcare facility dedicated to providing exceptional patient care. They are currently seeking a Patient Financial Counselor to join their team and assist patients with insurance and financial assistance matters.

Job Description: The Financial Counselor will support patients in navigating their insurance coverage and financial assistance options. This role involves working closely with patients to ensure they understand their benefits and helping to facilitate payment processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist patients in understanding and maximizing their insurance benefits.
• Provide support with financial assistance applications, including care credit and free medication programs.
• Manage payment collection processes both in-person and over the phone.
• Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure efficient patient care and financial support.
• Handle a caseload of 25-50 patients daily, contributing to the overall patient management of 60-90 patients per day in the office.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in insurance-related roles.
• Excellent communication skills and a passion for patient support.
• Proficiency in insurance processes, including Medicare, deductibles, out-of-pocket maximums, and co-insurance.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.

Additional Details:

• In-office position with hours from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (flexible start time available).
• Contract-to-Hire.
