Position Summary:
The Patient Service Representative Lead assists in coordinating staffing and activities for the Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, and Oral Surgery departments. The lead provides leadership and expertise in all aspects of service and performs as a Patient Service Representative in all areas.

Essential Functions:
  • Performs essential job functions of Patient Services Representative 1, 11, and 111
  • Assists in coordination of staffing and activities
  • Assists leadership with orientation and training of new and existing staff
  • Acts as a role model and supports management initiate e for the departments. Assumes leadership role in the absence of the supervisor/manager
  • Assists in resolving work related issues or assists employees in solving work related issues
  • Assists in establishing daily work and desk assignments to ensure staffing coverage and good customer service
  • Establishes standards for reducing registration errors, Review with staff on a regular basis registration errors and initiative necessary training to reduce errors.
  • Works department WQs
  • Works daily as a Patient Service Representative in Plastic Surgery, General Surgery, Oral Surgery, or SMOB Central Check-In in the areas where needed
  • Assists in training new staff in departments and Central Check-In
  • Attends SME Meetings and communicated with Staff
  • Assists in rounding on PSR staff
  • Assists SMOB PSR supervisors in staff assignments and rotation to adequately cover all departments and Central Check-In
