Payment Posting Clerk

Our client, a prominent medical center in North County, is looking to hire a Payment Posting Clerk. This position is onsite at their offices in Oceanside.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the posting and balancing of all lockbox, mail receipts, 835 electronic remittance advice (ERA) to the appropriate accounts.
• Prepares bank deposit daily.
• Process all checks and Remittance Advices received through the mail lock box and courier.
• Posts all insurance, patient, and non-AR payments on the computer daily. Balances mail and lock box to computer printout daily. Prepares face sheet for mail, wire transfer and lock box daily.
• Downloads disk for electronic posting of accounts and balances to system reports. Adds zero balance accounts back to A/R as needed or required.
• Posts appropriate ANSI 835 codes to claims for account to flow through the appropriate process.

Ideal candidate will have a Medical Billing Certificate and 1 year of AR experience in a healthcare environment. Medical terminology and EOB (explanation of benefits) is a plus. Must type 50 WPM and be proficient with 10 key typing by touch. If you meet the required qualifications and are interested in this role, please apply today.
