Position Overview

The Payroll Administrator (Amended Timesheets Specialist) is responsible for manually processing amended employee timesheets, calculating pay and leave adjustments, and ensuring all personnel records are updated accurately. This role plays a crucial part in facilitating the smooth and efficient handling of payroll amendments, employee banking information, and withholding updates, while ensuring compliance and timely processing of payroll information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manually process amended employee timesheets, including calculating pay and leave impacts, and updating personnel records accordingly.
  • Handle approximately 2,000 amended timesheets per pay period, with an expectation to complete a minimum of 50-100 amendments each pay period.
  • Address employee travel notifications for one or more AORs (Area of Responsibility), updating personnel files and providing initial pay calculations as needed.
  • Facilitate employee entry of banking information and ensure accurate withholdings upon the employee entering on duty.
  • Make necessary updates and changes to employee records to reflect updated banking or withholding information.
  • Audit biweekly payroll information to ensure data integrity and accuracy prior to the transmission of earnings and leave statements, as well as the disbursement of pay to employees.
  • Collaborate closely with the payroll team to ensure timely resolution of amended timesheets, with the current response time being 6-8 weeks.
  • Maintain compliance with company policies and procedures as well as applicable legal standards.


Required Skills

  • Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
  • Previous experience in payroll administration or a related role.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data processing.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and other related systems.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
