Payroll Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join one of our clients in Hartselle, AL. They are one of the largest utility repair and storm response companies in the southeast. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in running weekly multi-state payroll and excel experience. They will be handling timecards, working with UKG, pulling reports for leadership, tax notices, and garnishment entries. They need to be a team player and have good problem-solving skills since it's a small team. The salary range is $55,000-$65,000 based on experience.

2+ years of experience as a payroll specialist
Strong Excel experience (pivot tables, vlookups, standard formulas)
Garnishment entries
Problem solving skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

UKG experience
Degree in finance, accounting, or something similar
Experience in reporting
Knowledge of tax notices
