Insight Global is looking for a PCB Layout Engineer IV to sit onsite in Seattle, WA for a top client in the AR/VR Industry. The ideal candidate will have experience with:
- Rigid PCBs, Flexible and Rigid-flex designs and understand the nuances/complexities involved in these designs to produce premium products with excellent workmanship
- Working with contract manufacturers to ensure seamless delivery of fabrication releases
- End-to-end PCB/FPC Design involving various components such as analog, digital, RF, camera, display, audio, sensors and power charging
- Creating and maintaining detailed PCB documentation, including fabrication and assembly packages (Gerber files, ODB++, Bill of Materials, fabrication and assembly drawings)
- Selecting appropriate materials and designing optimal PCB stack-ups
- Ensuring adherence to correct impedance and application of Design for Excellence (DFX) rulesets to meet high quality standards
- Resolving Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and manufacturing-related issues promptly and efficiently
- Releasing fabrication and assembly packages into company-wide Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Producing and managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) as required

Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of experience working with Rigid PCBs, Flexible and Rigid-flex designs
- End-to-end PCB/FPC Design involving components such as analog, digital, RF, camera, display, audio, sensors, and power charging
- Experience creating PCB documentation (Gerber files, ODB++, Bill of Materials, Fabrication and Assembly drawings)
- Familiarity with Design for Excellence (DFX) rulesets and Desing for Manufacturability (DFM)
- Experience releasing fabrication and assembly packages
