Compensation :
Pay Range: $15.50 - $19.50 / hour

Unit Details :
The Unit for Neuroscience Nursing is a 20-bed acute care unit that provides comprehensive treatment plans and advanced post-surgical care for patients with neurological and spine disorders like epilepsy and glioblastomas. This unit also treats Neuro patients undergoing ketamine infusion therapy and those who have an externalized shunt or lumbar drain. Nurses on this unit have a unique opportunity to participate in a team nursing care model that partners each nurse with one patient care technician (PCT), which allows nurses to practice at the top of their scope and provide the highest quality of care and overall patient experience. Job Highlights :
As a respiratory therapist (RT) at UAB Medicine, you'll work alongside some of the brightest minds in medicine as you deliver the latest evidence-based treatments. Your case mix can include adult cystic fibrosis, bronchiectasis, heart and lung transplantation, interstitial lung disease, and much more. If you choose to practice in the neonatal environment, you'll be treating some of the sickest babies in our region. At UAB Medicine, our RTs go beyond simply monitoring ventilators and administering breathing treatments. As a member of our team, you'll autonomously manage ventilator protocols, using your skills to meet patient needs while weaning them off of mechanical respiratory support.

Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Certified with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) within thirty (30) days of date of employment required.
