How you will contribute:

  • Provide interim accounting/finance capabilities for both recent and existing PE-owned platform companies evolving from start-up accounting and finance processes to efficient and scalable operations
  • Lead a current state assessment of accounting and finance operations and current state systems from a quantitative and qualitative standpoint
  • Leading client engagement activities in all phases of the project life cycle from start to end
  • Design and implement accounting and reporting best practices and processes and transition to internal company accounting staff.
  • Perform and manage specific accounting and reporting duties including but not limited to:
  • Prepare account reconciliations
  • Participate in and manage monthly accounting close process while providing recommendations to improve the time to close
  • Understand and implement the most efficient way to effect and record accounting transactions
  • With the direction of engagement lead, design, automate and prepare monthly financial reporting packages
  • With the direction of engagement lead, design, automate and prepare other periodic KPI metrics and dashboarding
  • Whenever applicable, leverage other firm resources and technology to automate transactions and reporting
  • Providing transaction-related accounting and financial reporting support for transactions such as mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, and other complex transactions
  • Advising on large-scale and small-scale accounting engagements and providing clients with support in understanding and implementing new or complex accounting standards, such as consolidation, acquisition accounting, fair value measurement, revenue recognition, and leasing
  • Provide support to engagements focused on implementing or transitioning accounting systems (e.g. ERP) for clients that have outgrown their existing process and platform
  • Helping develop firm thought-ware on technical accounting and financial reporting matters
  • Work with engagement lead and Partner/Managing Director to continually work to identify opportunities to provide value to clients through cross-group referrals
  • Will travel regularly (25% up to 50%)

We are looking for people who have Forward Vision and:

  • Strong oral, written, and overall communication skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve problems in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships/project management

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management Systems or equivalent
  • 3 years or more of performance improvement and Finance & Accounting management/improvement
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree and/or Certification (CPA etc.)
  • Previous experience in a consulting/public accounting or project management firm
  • Experience with other systems (Intacct, MS, etc.)
  • Experience with NetSuite ERP
