Responsibilities

This position supports Norton Children's in its capacity as the Trauma and Burn Hub of the Regional Pediatric Pandemic Network and local/state/regional/national activities. Together with the Principal Investigator (PI)/Medical Director and all aspects of the program at Norton Children's, the role will participate in regional meetings along with participants at other sites. This role will liaise with project managers and medical directors from the Emergency Medical Services for Children Innovation and Improvement Center, National Association of State EMS Officials, American College of Surgeon Committee on Trauma, and other network sites, to identify gaps in care including rehabilitation and burn care, and increase trauma preparedness. This position will work to convert the current database that exists in spreadsheet format into a RedCap database with real-time capabilities for access and updates by state officials. Incorporation of this database into the PPN network emphasizes integration of pediatric trauma care into existing adult trauma system infrastructure. This role will interpret and translate data into next steps including implementation through state systems or future funding initiatives. The trauma system network will provide the framework for regional partnerships and national momentum for system building and trauma preparedness. This is a time-limited position dedicated to a specific project. Further employment after the completion of the grant-funded project is not guaranteed.

Qualifications

Required:
  • 1 year experience working in data analytics, biomedical informatics, data science, or related.
  • Bachelor degree
Desired:
  • 1 year in healthcare OR public health OR emergency services. 1 year experience in pediatrics emergency medical services/trauma.
  • Master degree
  • Certified Clinical Research Associate , Certified Clinical Research Coordinator, Certified Clinical Research Professional
