Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist

Ditmas Children's Nursing & Rehab is looking for a kind and compassionate pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist to join our amazing rehabilitation team. This is a great and unique opportunity to work with a dynamic interdisciplinary healthcare team to treat children of varying diagnoses in a pediatric nursing facility. The individual should have a positive attitude, good energy, and a passion to serve the pediatric population with healthcare needs in the Brooklyn and New York areas.

Job Description:

• Evaluates speech, language, and swallowing needs in children of all ages and diagnoses.
• Creates and carries out treatment plans designed to improve the child's communication and feeding skills.
• Evaluates and recommends a safe diet level for children with feeding difficulties.
• Assesses for and recommends alternative communication devices.
• Collaborates with an interprofessional team for optimal outcomes.
• Educates staff and family on therapy diagnoses, goals, and progress.

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

• Master's Degree from an accredited university in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid New York State SLP License
• Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech- Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• BLS Certified
• Previous dysphagia and AAC experience.
• No Clinical Fellows at this time

Compensation:

Competitive compensation ranging from $45 to $55 per hour.
