Texas Children's Hospital is seeking an Assistant Professor to join its Community Initiatives team who will provide clinical care within the neonatal intensive care unit(s) at Houston Methodist Clear Lake. Clinical care at other Texas Children's Hospital sites, including other Community Initiatives sites, may be required.
Clinical Duties:
- Provide safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable and proficient patient centered care at Texas Children's Hospital
- Provide clinical leadership to medical and nursing staff at each follow-up location
- Role model ethical and professional behavior with every interaction
- Supervise and educate medical and nursing staff when appropriate in their triage, evaluation, management and disposition of patients
- Work with other pediatric subspecialty services to ensure seamless and collaborative patient care
Continuing Professional Development:
- Participate in continuing professional development activities to maintain personal knowledge and skills as appropriate (e.g. division sponsored simulations, continuing education, maintenance of certification requirements and leadership training)
- Maintain currency in awareness of neonatology, pediatric and developmental pediatrics literature.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: M.D., D.O. or equivalent
- Minimum Certification/Licenses/Registration: Licensed by the Texas Medical Board
