Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language curriculum certified by the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association.
• Licensed and/or eligible for licensure as required in FL.
• Eligible for a Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association.
• Must have a COVID-19 vaccination.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate the acquisition of adaptive communication devices and instruct residents in their use.
• Select appropriate activities tailored to individual capabilities, intelligence, and interests.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to design suitable therapeutic regimens.
• Instruct residents in essential skills and techniques for communication and swallowing.
• Adapt programs to meet individual residents' needs.
