Airswift has been tasked by one of our major clients to search for a Petroleum Engineer (Well Management Engineer) to work with a major Oil and Gas company on a 1-year contract (with the possibility of extension) in Midland, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, and provide engineering execution support to wellwork operations post-completion, inclusive of drillouts, remedial workovers, and plug and abandonment scope
- Liaise with Production Engineering to provide cost & scope for opportunity evaluation
- Develop procedures and provide design input to artificial lift systems
- Interface with Operations for rig scheduling, execution support, and troubleshooting
- Liaise with specialist contractors & suppliers for cost and equipment readiness
- Monitor daily progress of wellwork operations, track daily costs, and recommend cost-effective changes where necessary; travel to company designated sites when necessary
- Support wellwork spend forecasting and budget preparation
- Track, analyze, and continually improve wellwork execution efficiency; manage contractor performance; steward Wellview data quality
- Bachelor of Science from accredited university in engineering required
- Minimum of 5 years O&G experience; 3+ yrs direct wellwork experience (Permian preferred)
- Must be self-motivated and capable of integrating within multi-discipline teams
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be willing to travel to well locations to oversee operations when necessary
- Proficient in MS Office suite (excel, word, powerpoint) and Wellview; Spotfire, PowerBI, or other analytics exposure preferred
