Job Description

The Pharmacy Clinical Analyst position reports directly to the Pharmacy Analyst Supervisor. The primary goal of the Pharmacy Clinical Analyst II is to provide support for the Pharmacy Department, which is responsible for medication therapy management and other medical management functions throughout the organization. Responsibilities include implementation, integration, configuration and support of all pharmacy applications . As well as assist operations in optimization and improvement opportunities for the pharmacy department and clinical operations.

Works collaboratively with all departments, and functions independently in defining, troubleshooting, and solving software and system analysis assignments using established system analysis techniques. Demonstrates advanced ability, integrity, and innovation in applying systems analysis techniques, knowledge, and experience to the needs of the organization.

System Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pharmacy system analysis, design, and implementation
  • Installation and support of all pharmacy applications
  • Work with users at various level of the organization to determine operational needs
  • Perform continual assessments of pharmacy application enhancements and requirements to facilitate continued improvements in software capability as required to meet the goals prioritized by the organization
  • Provide continual consulting support for existing pharmacy applications
  • Implement new pharmacy applications/systems as required by organization
  • Conduct research to determine the industry best practices to help solve complex problems within the pharmacy applications
  • Provide continual consulting support for existing pharmacy applications
  • Assure existing pharmacy systems are processing effectively and accurately according to requirements
  • Provide analysis and reports to stakeholders as required
  • Perform testing of applications prior to implementation
  • Work on assignments as assigned by the pharmacy application supervisor or other related projects
  • Provide project management staff and management with status reports regarding assigned projects tasks
  • Assist with project documentation preparation, as necessary
  • Work in coordination with others to analyze, develop and implement clinical systems
  • Assist with all pharmacy interface requirements identification to support
  • Test pharmacy interfaces between applications
  • On Call support which may include scheduled 24/7 support


Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or related years of experience


Experience

  • 3+ Years of clinical pharmacy or clinical application experience

  • Strong understanding of functional area they represent.
  • Experience with implementing software solutions
  • Understanding of current technical specification of foundation system
  • Experience with workflow design desirable
  • Performs other functions as requested
