Position Summary
The Pharmacy Report Analyst position is responsible for performing a variety of accounting and reporting functions for ECU Health Pharmacies. General duties include ensuring ancillary services and programs are accurately expensed, supporting informational needs, and reporting on performance indicators. This position reports to the Pharmacy Business Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Track and allocate expenses for pharmacy services provided and medications exchanged between facilities, as well as to other hospital departments.
2.Review and clear billing work queues and post credits and receipts.
3. Generate then disseminate numerous administrative reports including revenue, inventory, volume, and productivity statistics utilizing multiple hospital, pharmacy and vendor IT systems and databases.
4. Track and analyze operational and fiscal performance indicators by compiling and interpreting information. Data summarization, trending, or graphing in order to identify issues before recommendations or conclusions are made.
5. Assist with data requirements for the preparation of budgets or business proposals, evaluating cost savings initiatives, benchmarking, and conduction of the annual inventory assessment. Participates in workgroups, completes projects, and provides information as requested.
Minimum Requirements
Associates Arts degree required- or higher.
Two to three years of experience in accounting, data analysis, or reporting.
Strong Excel, Access, organizational and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask as well as work independently.
Healthcare experience or knowledge of pharmacy products, operations, terminology, and IT systems is preferred.
