Responsibilities

Position Overview:

In keeping with the Marian Regional Medical Center philosophy, the Pharmacy Technician performs duties including compounding chemotherapy agents while maintaining proper policy and procedures and adherence to OSHA. Also performs related work as required. This position is under the supervision of the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge.

This position is at the Infusion Center in San Luis Obispo.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Pharmacy Tech License
  • Pharm Technician Certification - National
  • Ability to read and communicate accurately and legibly.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong Organizational skills.
  • Computer literacy.

Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language. Strong attention to detail. Able to follow both oral and written directions. Ability to be precise in filling medication orders and maintaining records. Ability to work tactfully and effectively with team members the patient family and the public. Basic knowledge of computers.
