The role you'll contribute:
Assist pharmacists in promoting an organized and functional pharmacy service. Prepares medications for dispensing and maintains records.
The value you'll bring to the team:
- Alerts pharmacy director, manager, or pharmacist of immediate problems requiring corrective action in a timely manner.
- Screens nursing and physician inquiries and phone calls by directing to appropriate pharmacist to ensure accurate and timely communication.
- Performs special projects, including the training of new technicians and overseeing their activities, and other activities as assigned to increase and improve level of service, skill level, and productivity.
- Attains professional growth by attending or participating in a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education biannually, as required by national certification bodies.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed (Required Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Active Pharmacy Technician License from the State of Colorado (PHAT) and Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
- Provisional licenses must obtain State license within 12 months or expiration date of provisional license (whichever comes first)
The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed (Desired Qualifications):
- IV Admixture clean room experience strongly preferred
- Hospital pharmacy experience
